The grinder operates as a chipper, converting sawmill waste into wood chips.
The grinder line is usually installed downstream of the other machines, installed flush with the floor or recessed. The waste is conveyed to a knife rotor; a scraper chain underneath transports the ground material to a collection bin. The resulting wood chips are a finished product, ready for use or sale.
The grinder is configured for automatic cycle operation. The electrical power and electronic control systems ensure a constant flow of material to minimise mechanical stress and consumption, reducing the risk of jamming and preserving component life. A soundproof cover reduces grinding noise.
